🏪 Asylum RP — Business Rules
Clear expectations to keep businesses active, fair, and roleplay-driven.
🕒 Operating Hours & Activity Logging
  • All businesses will have clearly defined operating times based on business type.
  • Opening and closing must be logged in the designated business channel or logging system.
  • Businesses that remain inactive and/or closed during required time periods will be dealt with by Government with assistance from Internal Affairs.
📣 Advertising Requirements
  • Businesses must actively advertise while open.
  • The advertisement system must be used to attract customers and indicate that you are currently open and trading.
  • The time between advertisements must not be less than 5 minutes.
🤝 Customer Service Standards
  • Professional, engaging roleplay service is expected at all times.
  • Orders must be handled within reasonable RP timeframes.
  • Repeated poor service or unresolved complaints may result in warnings or penalties issued against the business.
🏪 Business-Specific Expectations
🍽️ Restaurants / Food Businesses
  • Must be open for 4 days within a 7-day period (Monday–Sunday).
  • Operating time: 1 hour per day during peak hours of 18:00 – 21:00.
  • Restaurants must be open for at least 1 full hour during peak times on each operating day.
  • Large bulk food sales are discouraged unless for organized events.
  • Goal: encourage return customers rather than once-off bulk purchasing.
  • Consistent activity and service are required to maintain ownership.
🛠️ Mechanic Shops
  • Must be open for 4 days within a 7-day period (Monday–Sunday).
  • Operating time: 2 hours per day during peak hours of 18:00 – 22:00.
  • Delayed service, AFK employees while on duty, or unresolved complaints will result in governmental action.
⚙️ Parts Shops
  • Orders may be placed via email or through in-city interactions.
  • Delivery-based service is permitted provided response times are reasonable.
  • Mechanic shops are encouraged to interact with parts shop owners or employees in city to maintain RP involvement.
  • Email-based orders are acceptable where applicable.
🧰 Pawn Shops
  • Must be open for 4 days within a 7-day period (Monday–Sunday).
  • Operating time: 2 hours per day during peak hours of 18:00 – 22:00.
  • Delayed service, AFK employees, or unresolved complaints will result in governmental action.
🎶 Entertainment Venues / Clubs
  • Clubs must either:
    • Host events, or
    • Be open at least once per week
  • Events must be advertised ahead of time using email and in-city methods.
  • Delayed service, AFK staff, or unresolved complaints will result in governmental action.
⚠️ Consequences for Non-Compliance
  • First offence: verbal warning issued by Government.
  • Second offence: written warning issued.
  • Third offence: final warning (to be treated seriously).
  • Continued non-compliance after a final warning will result in business repossession and reassignment to a new owner.

Government does not aim to remove businesses unnecessarily — these rules exist to keep the city alive and thriving.
