Gang Guidlines
🏴☠️ Asylum RP — Organisations (Gangs)
Gang RP is a privilege, not a right.
📌 General
- Gang RP is a privilege, not a right.
- Gang bosses are responsible for their members and actions.
- Staff decisions are final and must be respected.
- Gangs may not split up to handle multiple crime scenes at once (one heist/robbery at a time).
- Gangs may not cooperate with other gangs or civilians in any gang-related activity.
- If you are in a gang – act like a gang, RP like a gang.
- Gangs should be feared, not sloppy.
🧾 Gang Creation Requirements
- To start a gang you must have at least 100 hours of RP in Asylum.
- You must have a minimum of $10,000,000 in your bank account.
- An interview may be conducted before approval.
- Gang ownership may not be sold or transferred.
- If a boss leaves or sells the gang, the gang will immediately be disbanded.
👥 Identification & Clothing
- Maximum gang size: 12 members, including the boss and underbosses.
- Gangs cannot have affliated members roaming with them.
- All gang members must be clearly identifiable at all times.
- Gang colours, gang clothing, and gang vests are required.
- All gang activities must be done in gang clothing.
- Gang vehicles must be matching gang colours and clearly identifiable.
- You may not wear clothing representing a gang you do not belong to.
- To be a gang member you must:
- Be added to the F10 menu
- Be in the Gang Boss Menu
- Hold the correct Discord role
- Be inside the Gang Hub Discord
- Gangs inactive with fewer than 3 active members for 1 week will be disbanded.
🎭 Roleplay Standards
- Appropriate RP must be used in every scene.
- Always act in good faith.
- Violence is not always the solution; escalation and storytelling matter.
- When you are dead, you are dead (no /me, no interference, no communication).
- Remain in character at all times.
- No OOC behaviour during RP scenes.
- Light toxicity is allowed but must remain in-character.
- Do not involve yourself in scenes you cannot handle.
🚫 Scene Interference
- You may not take over or interfere with another active scene.
- Once the gang or criminals have arrived at the scene and the hostage has surrendered, the scene is considered closed.
- Hostages may only be rescued while they are in transit to the heist location.
🚔 Interacting with PD
- Always remain respectful and in-character.
- PD force must be respected at all times.
- PD responding to turf shots is not RDM.
- If you die to guards during a heist:
- You may exchange a hostage for medical assistance only if AI Medic is available.
- If on heist cooldown:
- Release hostage immediately
- Do not waste hostage time
🩺 Medical Rules
- AI Medic mid-scene is not allowed.
- You must wait until:
- The scene is fully clear
- You have permission to use medical services
🔹 Hostage Rules
- You may not rob a hostage unless they fail to comply.
- If a hostage is shot:
- The scene becomes ambient with PD unless another hostage is still being held.
- Non-compliant hostages:
- May be tortured (cable tie / paper bag).
- May be shot if they continue not to comply.
- May then be robbed.
- You must still value life and escalate properly.
🔹 Robbing Players
- Gang to Gang: You may rob everything except food and drinks.
- Civilians: You must leave hard-working items.
- If a civilian is toxic or non-compliant, hard-working items may be taken.
- Do not rob gang members of food or hard-earned items in non-toxic scenes.
- You can only loot bodies before they’re moved; moving a body in order to loot it is not allowed.
🔹 Gang Compounds
- Entering another gang’s compound without permission is shoot on sight.
- Gang members are prohibited from taking or posting photos/screenshots inside gang compounds with the intent to provoke, taunt, intimidate, or bait rival gangs. Such actions will be considered gang baiting and may result in disciplinary action.
🎯 Turf Wars & Escalation
- Turf War Times (SAST):
- Mon–Thu: 18:30–23:30
- Fri 18:30 – Sun 23:30
- Rival gangs may not sell drugs 30 minutes before or after restart.
- Drugs must be sold on foot.
- Outside turf times, drugs may only be sold in your own claimed turf.
- No gang activity during community meetings or government events.
- Claimed or owned turf is not a safe zone.
🔹 Turf Warnings & Escalation
- Turf warnings must be properly roleplayed.
- A minimum of one clear warning must be given before escalation.
- The warning must be a conversation (not “first and final warning”).
- Warnings can be given if:
- Any interaction with locals is seen (this includes but is not limited to pulling a local from a car).
- Drugs are sold and witnessed.
- Guns are out in turf you own.
- If a rivalry has already been established in a turf, it is shoot on sight if a rival gang is seen selling — no warning required.
- During turf takeovers, gangs may not issue warnings, initiate hostilities, or engage in any form of shooting when the turf ownership difference is 2% or less.
- If selling continues after the first warning: immediately engage.
- No waiting, no setting up, and no delayed shooting 1–3 minutes later.
- You may not drive away while another gang is issuing a warning.
- Warnings carry over to the next turf.
- If no shots are fired for 10 minutes, the scene is considered clear.
- If players leave the scene, they may not return.
- If a turf war has no winner, warnings must restart.
- After every tsunami, all warnings reset.
🔹 Winning Turf
- If you win a turf, you may sell there for 30 minutes.
- You may claim turf even if it is within 30 minutes before tsunami.
- Each gang must attempt to take turf at least once per week.
- Gangs must control at least one turf weekly.
🔹 Turf Hopping & Counter-Selling
- Turf hopping is allowed.
- Counter-selling is allowed.
- You are not required to engage in a shootout.
- You may drive away or continue counter-selling if outnumbered.
- No rage baiting.
- No baiting shootouts by selling directly in front of rival gangs.
- Attempt to roleplay disputes before escalating.
- “Love letters” (extreme escalation) are a last resort.
🔹 Minimum Gang Requirements
- A minimum of 10 heists/robberies per week (spread across the week).
- At least 3 scenes must be clean with no intended shootouts (clean chase).
- At least one scene must be driven by roleplay (RP), such as involving a firefighter, gas company representative, etc. (Be creative)
- All heists must be properly logged.
- Low-quality or bad-faith RP may result in disbandment.
🔹 Conduct Expectations
- Respect all players.
- Respect female characters.
- Resolve disputes maturely.
- Remain in character at all times.
🔹 Staff Support
- Cooper Pagooier and Emma Bennett are available in-city and OOC.
- Suggestions, concerns, and complaints are welcome.
- Staff decisions are final.
⚠️ Gang Strikes & Misconduct
- Citizens may not participate in gang wars or turf fights.
- Warnings during gang activity affect both individual and gang.
- Continued violations may lead to gang disbandment.
- Failure to follow rules may result in strikes or disbandment.
